I'm mad as heck! The other day, I purchased the Hooked on Phonics (spent $50!) on the critically acclaimed Pre-k system, only to find out that my daughter Gia flew through the program with EASE! In fact, she started clicking the "wrong" answers just to see what would happen, Arg!
Teacher Lettie's class has FAR exceeded my expectations! Between her and Teacher Debbie they constantly educate traditional subjects as well as challenging the children to make good choices with behaviors. I cannot give enough thumbs up to the school (which is more like a home away from home than an educational institution.)
Everyone from Rob to Amy, Teacher Donna, Heather and Brian, Patsy (and soon Teacher Cindy) have made every day of our attendance special in some manner. My husband and I cannot say thank you enough!
Sincerely,
Kristen and Todd Previte (Gia too!)

Dear John DeGroat,
I know you will remember me. I am the kindergarten teacher at Turquoise Learning Tree childcare center in Beaverton, Rob and Carolina's center. I have now started my eleventh year of teaching in the Kindergarten program.
I am writing to let you know of the success of the Beginnings letterbook program. I was told that you initiated the use of the letter books and for that I am grateful.
I depend on the letter books for my literacy program. It offers phonological awareness as well as phonic development. It is a complete system and my children have a good time learning.
The parents are also very satified with the results, especially when they see their child's achievements.
You have given me a very strong base on which to build my program and for this I am forever grateful!
Sincerely,
Teacher Cindy

Turquoise Learning Tree Receives 2009 Best of Beaverton Award
WASHINGTON D.C., June 8, 2009 -- Turquoise Learning Tree has been selected for the 2009 Best of Beaverton Award in the Day Care/Child Care category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.
The USCA was established to recognize the best of local businesses in their community. Our organization works exclusively with local business owners, trade groups, professional associations, chambers of commerce and other business advertising and marketing groups. Our mission is to be an advocate for small and medium size businesses and business entrepreneurs across America.

To Sarah, Rebecca, Annie, Mary, Mary, Manuela, Krisy, Rhonda, Jennifer, Aimee, Ashley and the many other teachers and assistants that have cared for Elena,
This is a very big Thank You from Phil, Elena and myself. Elena has grown up so much under your childcare at Learning Tree. Learning Tree has been a very special preschool for her. She loved going to school and being with her friends, but she also became very attached to many of her teachers. I know what a handful she was at times, But inspite of that you still treated her so well that she had no other choice than to begin to act like a child her age should. Teacher Annie I want to tell you what a great job you did teaching her Kindergarten.
Love, Pat and Phil

Thank you Baseline Learning Tree for the flexibility and open communication lines. Cian and Reann have done so well at Baseline Learning Tree and I have recommended the school to co-workers and friends. As you know, we were having challenges in previous daycare environments so it's been a relief not to have to deal with that. Both our children enjoy coming to school each day and have grown tremendously.

Today is Tristan's last day! I want to thank you all for your love and support of Tristan over the last 6 years!!
To Donna: Thank you for your no-nonsense attitude and for always having a sense of humor. I appreciate you helping Tristan with his tedious 4th grade math and for helping us transition him out of daycare to be on his own (big boy)!
To Heather and Brian:
Heather thank you for picking Tristan up from school all these years and for helping him to remember to get his things off of the bus! For all of the memorable field trips- he has had lots of good times with you and you are very patient!
Brian thank you for teaching Tristan how to behave in the pool and for being a good role model. It's good to have a guy around (especially one you can give a bad time to, but who doesn't put up with stuff) Tristan thinks you are pretty cool!
I wish the best for both of you. You're going to make great parents one day :)
To Teacher Cindy: We just love you!
To Carolina and Rob: You run a great daycare! Friends recommended you and we have referred friends to you. I hope you always keep good people around you - this has been a great place to grow up. We will probably see you at starbucks!
with love to all,

This is the second year our daughter Molly has attended your school. She enjoys it more each day. She loves miss Amy and miss Joan too. She got to ride in the school bus to the pumkin patch. And still talks about it. Being a big kid is cool.
We are glad to have our daughter being so well cared for.
thanks for everything, Janet & John

Our daughter Andrea was the first child at the Baseline Learning Tree in aloha upon opening. How time flies... she's now in first grade. Our son Ryan is 15 months behind her and is now in kindergarten. We gave Ryan the choice to either stay at Learning Tree this year, or go to Oak Hills with his sister. He chose Learning Tree and hasn't missed a beat this year (no sis tagging along, and hasn't missed her one bit).
It's been like a second home to each of them. As dual-working parents, we needed a place where they are comfortable and safe. Learning Tree is it. They look forward to preschool, both teachers and classmates, every day. I cannot remember the last time they were sad about being dropped off in the morning. They truly love it and it has been such a good experience for them, both socially and academically. The hardest part for Andrea has been saying goodbye to her best friends now that she's at a new preschool. Same will be said for Ryan next year.
Thanks to the staff for everything... The Pearsons

Baseline Learning Tree has been a great place for my daughter. She became a member of a great family in 2004 when she was 8 months old. She has grown from the baby room to the Pre-K room and is very well adjusted. As all kids who start a new place away from their parents it was hard, but the staff welcomed my daughter with open arms and pampered her as much as possible. She has come to expect her family to be in their rooms which is their homes as far as she is concerned!
Transition from room to room is very simple and fun for the kids. They start to visit prior to the move over and as far as my little one is concerned, she can’t wait to join the new group and play with all the “big kid toys”!
As a parent looking for the best for my little one I shopped the area extensively. When I walked into Baseline Learning Tree, Amy was available to answer all my questions pertaining to the care of my daughter. I was extremely impressed with the staff, and the fact that the building was cleaned by professional cleaners on a regular basis. This allowed the staff more time to devote to my daughter. Time is something they give all the kids in abundance.

Dear Rob & Carolina:
As you know, our oldest daughter, Nicole, has been attending your Baseline Learning Tree since June, 2006 and now our youngest daughter, Jenny, also attends.
Tess and I wanted you to know how pleased we are with the care and attention our children receive at your school. We emphasize school, because we feel our children are receiving an education as opposed to just competent child-minding.
Please be sure to pass on our gratitude for their care, service, and attentiveness to our children's needs to Allison, Joan, and all the other teachers at your school.
Sincerely,
Warren & Tess Smalley

Thanks for the last 7+ years with Chase. He has gone from a shy 3 year old to a confident middle schooler (I hope). Most of you weren't there when Chase 1st arrived, but oh the stories that T. Melanie & Cindy could share.
I'd be surprised if he's not back helping out one day.

To all the staff,
Thank you very much for caring for Carmen this last four months. Our experience at your facility has been very positive. Carmen has enjoyed it and I have felt that all of you are welcoming, warm and caring. I've enjoyed the "atmosphere" at your facility. It seems that you all enjoy your work and have your own children at the facility which makes for that good work environment.
I would like to specially say thanks to Stephanie, Celi and very specially to Sara and Mary, you've become Carmen's second moms!
Thank you for potty training.
Thank you Erin, you're running a very nice facility and you yourself have been very nice and wonderful to "work" with.
We might see you all again!
Sincerely,
Irma Vasquez
